We're Dave, Beth, and Landon ("Lando"), sailing and teaching from our Leopard 45 with 16,000+ nm behind us and
the next horizon ahead — currently in the Vanuatu → Australia chapter of the voyage.
The boat
WARRIOR — Leopard 45
Home and classroom. 16,000+ nautical miles under the keel, currently in the Vanuatu → Australia chapter of
the voyage.
Instructor
Dave
Chicago roots. Air Force chapter. Decades in corporate America. Then a clear decision: do life differently.
Dave is a NauticEd Level V Captain Rank Qualified Sailing Instructor/Assessor (including bareboat/SLC and
offshore pathways) and a PADI scuba instructor. He teaches the way he cruises — practical, calm, and honest
about what actually matters when you're away from the marina comfort blanket.
Crew
Beth
Beth brings the joy, the people-sense, and the "we can figure this out" energy that makes a boat a home.
Travel was in her bones long before the ocean became the classroom. On camera and on deck, she's the reminder
that this life is meant to be lived — not just endured.
Crew
Landon "Lando"
Adventurous, curious, and all-in on the sailing life. Homeschooled on the move, advanced sailing practice,
and a front-row seat to what it means to grow up with the world as classroom.
The name
What "Life Warrior" means to us
Life will offer every reason to postpone the thing that makes you feel alive. Being a Life Warrior is quieter
than it sounds: you own the outcome. You prepare. You choose. You keep going when the plan gets edited by
weather, gear, or timing.
Sailing Life Warriors is our invitation to do life differently — with adventure, passion, and purpose —
alongside people who are actually underway.
